Checking in

Hello Stacey here,
Things are moving right along over here. The temps have dropped this past week, it is COLD!! In our hotel the windows have wood frames. So when the wind blows the curtains move on the inside. You can feel the cold air blowing in. Brrrrrrrr
A photographer came to the Baby house today to take Luke's picture for his passport. (Yippeee one small step to coming home) Luke was NOT a big fan of having his picture taken. No way would he stand on his own, so I had to hold him but out away from me so as not to be in the picture. Dewey was making faces and holding cookies to get him to stop crying. We don't know how but there must have been a split second that he did, the photographer managed to snap one with his mouth closed. We said Perfect or that's good enough. :)
We are semi planning (if everything goes according to plan with our documents) on leaving here the 22nd. We cant wait to come home!!! We get to pick up Luke from the Baby house on the 11th. That's our first countdown, 10 days to go. It will be so nice to have him with us.
Hope all is well with everyone!!!
Thanks for all the posts, we are so home sick we LOVE reading them!!!!
XOXOXOXOXO
Stacey

Co-workers at school want to see more pictures of Luke.

Grandma sends her love. She's having a lot of fun with her yard (IN FEBRUARY). She's been planting flowers and rose bushes.Yesterday she mowed her lawn. (Yes MOWED)
She went to all of the boys football games and Jordan's basketball games. She can walk to Jordan's school. It's nice with all the free time she has now that she can get out and work in her yard. Two of her sisters are coming to visit in April.

More Pictures.

Love Mom

Looks like things are moving right along! It's kind of hard to explain to a 2-yr-old the importance of smiling for the camera. :) Taking kid's pictures is definitely something that needs finesse and patience.

Loving all the pics. I'm cracking up that Dew is fishin' with the guys. And you go, with your bad American self, hangin' with the locals with the vodka. We've got tequila ready for you when you get back! Or maybe just a beer? It's certainly a different world there.

We're all so thrilled that Luke is making the transition from being at the baby house to being your son. This was surely meant to be. What stories you'll have to tell him! We're gearing up for spoiling him like crazy here. We can't wait to get are hands on him!!! I read an article the other day that was talking about kids that are adopted sometimes are spoiled more than others. I thought, "Well, DUH!" Isn't that the point? Mallory has already told me she plans on babysitting. I told her she may not be quite old enough yet, but she assured me she was capable. Maybe with some adult supervision from Auntie Jen? :)

Bleak closed yesterday. He was bummin' because he didn't net what he needed to, but he said he was fine with it and just wanted to get it done. I told him if he did another spec, we'd work with him on brokerage fee. He said he wasn't sure he was ever going to do that again. I said I'd have you call him when you get back. He asked about you, and said to say hey. He kink of got screwed by the mortgage company. There was a prepayment penalty of 6 mos interest, and he didn't know it was going to be on there until he went to sign for the mortgage. It ended up being pretty expensive for him.

Lunch is here - Applebee's! We miss you tons!! Everyone says hi, except for Kim who is on a cruise. Love you all so much - can't wait to give you all hugs.

We're sending all our love!
